Called a legalist for reading the Scriptures

Well I'm dumb founded today. Had a man who holds the position of Elder at my church say he thought it's legalistic for me to be reading through the Scriptures with other Brethren after services.

It was said that I'm often seen reading and discussing the Scriptures. I didn't know that was a bad thing... apparently this man thinks it is.

Xiphos - Open Source Bible Study Software

I'm still trying to play catch up on a lot of things in ministry and life. The new computer is working well thankfully.

Today I found a really cool piece of software. I make no bones about promoting e-Sword but I may have found something better than even that!

Xiphos is an open source program with a bunch of modules available. It's got an internal module manager and I'm grabbing everything I can get my paws on right now. I'm going to make it my main Bible reader for the next few weeks and see if it really does top my beloved e-Sword.

System failure

The USB controller on my studio computer decided it didn't want to play. I've spent today building a new system. Now I'm having an issue with the Marvell IDE controller on my new Asus P5Q motherboard. It will not detect drives attached to it, though it did long enough to install Windows. As soon as I hooked up my second drive it stopped working... and I can't get it back.

The drive was working fine before I hooked it up. Now the thing hands on "initializing" and then finally says "no drives detected" and boots the computer using my SATA drive.
