The Gospel is a Report to be Believed

On my seldom updated blog, The Demonstration, I've posted another short article on the nature of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Gospel is a Report to be Believed

Kev-

The gospel is a set of propositions to be believed, not a set of commands to be obeyed.

It seems plain that THE ONLY command to be obeyed in the gospel is to believe the message.

I didn't know you had another blog.

Hi Jan,

Yep, I started The Demonstration to collect short statements of truth about the Gospel. These are all points I want to cover in depth in my next book.

I think there is a lot to be learned by studying this nature of the Gospel. The Lord spoke of False Prophets, and John wrote of people not heading Christ's words (esentially calling Him a false prophet).. it all relates back to that the testimony of Christ is the Gospel. Not believing it, is not believing Him. Which is John's point in John 3:36
