The Gospel According to the Prophet Isaiah

Hello Guests, Brother xxx is at it again pointing out things that are beautiful to see! Today he's looking at the Gospel that was promised in the Prophets and that Paul has revealed to us.

In his salutation to the Christians in Rome the apostle Paul draws immediate attention to "the gospel" (Rom. 1:1). Paul states that the gospel of God was "promised beforehand through His prophets in the holy Scriptures" (Rom. 1:1-2). After the first two chapters of the epistle (Rom. 1:1, 1:9, 1:16, 2:16), it is not until the tenth chapter that the apostle again references "the gospel" (Rom. 10:15). Here Paul quotes "the Prince of Prophets" as he enthusiastically exclaims, "As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!" (Rom. 10:15b, NKJV; cf. Isa. 52:7).
I have deleted the link to this disorderly Brother's blog.

Hi Kev,

I think Paul would say you have beautiful feet (Rom. 10:15)! As you know, this scripture enters into the subject of my latest article. I was so excited to write the post after Isaiah 53 was read in church this morning. It was like an epiphany and I actually started to cry at the beauty of the Truth! May we faithfully preach Paul's gospel according to the prophet Isaiah!

I'm still gathering info for the TCC training "In Accordance With The Scriptures" which will see us able to argue Christ from the OT.

This article will surely be helpful in that endeavor.

Thanks bro!

Kev,

That sounds exciting! I'm going to be writing an article on 1 Cor. 15:4 in the near future. I am going to describe how Christ's resurrection from the grave was in accordance with the Old Testament idea of resurrection. When we examine the Old Testament scriptures we find that the resurrection from the dead is conceived of as a resurrection from the grave or from the tombs (Isa. 26:19; Dan. 12:2).
